Resources for Effective Leadership Development and Officer Training

It doesn’t happen in a vacuum. How do you design a ministry plan which develops faithful disciples and strong leaders? What resources are others using that have been helpful in both established churches and church plants?

Bi-vocational Ministry Pros and Cons

As the costs associated with just about everything continue to rise, launching a church planting ministry is no exception. Some have begun to explore a “new/old” idea of “bi-vocational” ministry, meaning the church planter is actually employed elsewhere and plants the church in addition to a full time or part time job that provides for his family’s basic needs, freeing up funds for ministry growth. We explore the pros and cons of this approach, it’s effect on the church plant and the new congregation, and situations for which it might be suited.

Multi-Site Strategies

It seems that everyone is talking about Multi-site church planting these days – but why is it so popular? And what exactly does “multi-site” ministry mean and look like in practical terms? We share different models of multi-site ministries in use around the PCA and elsewhere, their benefits, and how to determine if this might be a model you can use in your environment in order to extend the Kingdom through church planting.
